Well sports fans the World Cup has come and gone. Spain won and Netherlands lost me R1 000 - bloody hell! Gamble with your head, not your heart.

We had a lovely break away in the Transkei for 10 days at Kob Inn. We went the larney route. Shuttle to the airport, fly to East London and then 3 hour shuttle through to the hotel.  So glad we did not drive as some of the last bit of dirt was pretty rough. The Audi would not have appreciated it at all.

Lots of activities, played tennis again for the first time in years. At least that does not appear to have gone too haywire over the last 20 years. But saying that, I did put a few well over the back fence! Thank you Gerald!

The boys were good although Ollie in hind sight may have been a little young to go. He was so excited about being there that he was awake every morning before 5am. So Karen and I did not live up to the idea of rip roaring parties everynight with the others but fell into bed at about 21:30. Despite the fact that the baby sitters there only cost R10 per hour! (Come to Cape Town where they pay you R50 p/h)

 Christmas is already rapidly approaching, and more important to me is the approaching summer. I hate these dark, cold wet days! . I want sun! Till Summer...
